Phase One is all about Observing, asking and trying. The main aim for phase one is to get a better understanding of the problem is much as possible.
Explanation of Activities
Visit to Aquaculture Demonstration Centre
This is going to be our first on site visit. The purpose of this is to observe the current fish farming practices used in the field and to experience the challenges that fish farmers face in handling fish in the pond.
Research Online and calls with Fish Farmers
The purpose of this task is to gain a better understanding of the problem. Getting statistics from credible online sources to back our findings and also, getting more better conceptual understanding of what fish farming is all about.
Call MIT experts
These MIT professionals are experts in making sensors. We hope to get as mush information from them as possible to make a durable and affordable sensor package for the fish farmers.
Problem Framing and Design Requirements
After getting all the information we need about the problem and the context of the problem, then we believe we can frame the problem in one problem statement and determine the design requirements for the sensor package.
